Conduct and Discipline Structure
Generally, the lists and forums run quite well
without many troubles. However all new registered users cannot currently post
immediately after registering. Admin will later activate your account and your
first few posts (between 3 and 7) will be screened to ensure their general tone
and attitude are appropriate for Incelsite. After this period of consistent
broadly appropriate posts, the approval period will be removed.
If admin
considers a post awaiting approval to be broadly inappropriate, it will not be
edited but will be deleted. The poster will then be informed of this and told
their post was likely to cause unnecessary offence or distress to other board
users.
In addition to the above, there are agreed structures for conduct
and any disciplinary action, as shown below. If you post on any incelsite list
or forum, it is implicit that you agree to and understand them regardless of
whether you are a new or established poster.
Conduct:
1.
Always show respect for all other posters even if you do not agree with their
views.
2. Make sure the forum, list address or subject line are
appropriate to the content of your reply or new topic.
3. If a post
contains graphic images or content which may offend some people, include XXX in
the subject line, so that readers may choose not to view that post.
4.
You will not use any incelsite forum or list to promote any commercial product
or personal agenda, including but not limited to apparent campaigning for
political causes, religious beliefs or racist and sexist views.
5. For
clarity and neatness, please send replies using editing methods wherever
possible for quoting others in context.
Discipline:
1) Any complaint against a poster's
conduct should be sent to the current incelsite technical administrator 'admin'
using Private Message or the incel-admin email address. Emails must include
[incel] exactly like that in the subject line for your mail to be accepted
through the spam and virus security system. The admin will acknowledge receipt
of the complaint and file it for reference. No further action will be taken at
this stage
unless
admin is aware that there has been a significant
public objection voiced on the forums themselves. In this event, Conduct Warning
1 will be issued. The meaning and form of this is described below.
2) If the same complainant mentioned above in 1) issues a new
complaint against the same individual's further posts
OR
A
different person complains about the same individual
THEN
admin
will contact the individual directly to make them aware of the issue and request
a change in their conduct, with reference to the Conduct and Discipline
Structure. This will constitute Conduct Warning 1. The admin will again
acknowledge receipt of all received mails and file them along with any replies.
The complainant(s) will be notified of the warning but their identity will not
be revealed unless they specifically request it.
3) Any new
complaint against the same individual's further posts will result in Conduct
Warning 2, then similarly Conduct Warning 3 meaning the individual will be
unsubscribed and blocked indefinitely from all incelsite lists or forums. Any
recognised attempt to re-register or re-subscribe under a different username or
email address will also be blocked.
Appeals:
An individual
has the right to appeal to admin for the 2nd and/or 3rd Conduct Warnings to be
revoked on the grounds:
They feel victimised by another individual
OR
They feel their conduct leading to the last warning was fair
and reasonable.
On receipt of an appeal, admin will ask the individual
if they want to re-phrase it before admin uses it to canvass for opinions from
all subscribers on the relevant forum or list. This post will also explain why a
warning has been given to the specific individual and include all relevant
complaints. The identity of the complainant(s) will not be revealed unless they
specifically request it. Responses mailed _to admin_ over a 7 day period will be
filed. The majority view will then carry or revoke the warning and the
individual will be notified. The warning will be revoked in the event that there
are no responses.
NOTE 1 : Once any conduct warning has been
issued to an individual, any reaction or discussion on the issue as a whole is
prohibited on any incelsite list or forum and will otherwise lead to new or
further conduct warnings. The one specific exception to this ban is where admin
is canvassing for opinions on a warning appeal.
NOTE 2 : Current
admin agrees to be subject to the same conduct and discipline structure, even in
the event that he/she is dealing with complaints against him/herself.
